RUPERT MURDOCH - THE KING-MAKER

"Where you've a catalyst for changes, you make enemies - and I'm proud of the ones I've got."
                                                                  -Murdoch

Have you ever thought 'who rule the world..?' Is it Barack Obama or Narendra Modi...? Or is it UN secretary general..? I don't think they are. They have influence only over a very small part of the world. But there are big fishes who are silent from the main front but virtually rule the world. One among them is Rupert Murdoch.

Keith Rupert Murdoch or popularly known as Murdoch is an Australian American business legend. In my view he is the biggest media don in the world. He started his career as the managing director of Australia's News Limited which was owned by his father. Later he started expanding his business to rest of the world apart from Australia. His reputation hiked as he founded the News Corporation. He is presently the chairman and CEO of leading medias such as News Corporation, News Corp and the 21st Century Fox.

This legend though 83 is very active in his career. He owns or holds share in almost all popular medias across the globe. The world watches what he provides through his medias. Eventually people believe what he shows. This is what makes Murdoch the 'king maker'.
Nothing much is known about this business tycoon. Some rumors say that this man vanishes all the negative images through his world wide media network..

MOVIE OF THE WEEK- PULP FICTION

This can be the first one to try a non-linear story line... and it was a great success.. Otherwise it would not have been accepted by a lot of fans...

MOVIE: PULP FICTION
YEAR: 1994
LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
DIRECTOR: QUENTIN TARANTINO
CAST: JOHN TRAVOLTA, UMA THURMAN, SAMUEL L JACKSON, BRUCE WILLIS

Its an American black comedy crime film which is known for his eclectic dialogues, ironic mixture of humor and violence and non linear storyline. the screen play makes the movie unique. The non linear storyline was something new back in 1990s.. It was the first movie of that kind..

In addition to a crazy and brilliant screenplay, casting too was great.. every single one played their role in style.. they did their job well.. Dialpgue delivery of samuel jackson was indeed GREAT.. I dare you.. I double dare you.. you will like it..

This is definitely a movie worth watching..
My rating: 8.7/10

MOSSAD - THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY OF ISRAEL

"Where there is no guidance, a nation falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety"
                                                                                                  Proverbs 24:6

I have been always thinking about Israel and what makes it mighty among the world nations. Whether it is due to the presence of a strong military...? Or is it due to its wealth...?  No I don't think so.. In my view Israel is not too wealthy either in terms of money or military. Then what makes this happen..? I say, it is nothing but MOSSAD what makes Israel that is at present.

The term Mossad means 'The Institute'. Mossad is the institute for intelligence and special operation of Israel. It is one of the main entity in Israeli intelligence. Mossad plays an important role in intelligence collection , covert operations, and counter-terrorism etc... The director of Mossad reports directly to the prime minister of Israel. It was formed as a central institute for coordination on December 13, 1949 under the recommendation of prime minister David Ben-Gurion. Reuven Shiloah was he first director and Tamir Pardo is the present director of Mossad.

There are various operations successfully completed by Mossad. I would like to mention some of the most famous incidents..
Now I would like to tell some facts about Mossad... The organisation is owning a group of expert assassins named 'Kidon'. But the strange fact is that nothing is known about the group except its name.
Mossad informed FBI about the world trade center attack a month before it was attacked. Th  FBI doubted the credibility of such an information but it was later proven by time.

The greatest success of Mossad lies in its secrecy. i,e; No two Mossad agents know each other.
At last I would like to ask you a question .. "ARE YOU WORKING FOR MOSSAD..?"

''If my answers frighten you, then you should cease asking scary questions''
                                                                                                                       -Pulp Fiction
Surely, for those who have seen the Pulp fiction, this dialogue is unforgettable. I have no choice but to write about Samuel Leroy Jackson, one of the few respected actor and film producer of United States.

DECEMBER 19-PERSON OF THE DAY-RICKY PONTING

Probably the best captain I have ever seen..

Australian cricket team was always one of my favourite team, just after India.. It was because of the attitude they show towards the game. Each and every team member would be totally involved and it was like..an 'elixir of life' to them.. Whether its Gilchrist, Hayden, Lee, Warne, MagGrath or Ponting... Everyone was awesome.. But, it was always Ponting, the captain of the ship, controlling the game.. During its Golden era,the team would have a fielder everywhere the ball goes.. It was due to the pure talent and experience of this great cricketer. He is a right handed batsman and widely considered one among the best one after Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara..

Ricky Thomas Ponting was born on December 19,1974 Launceston, Tasmania. He made his first-class debut for Tansmania in november 1992. His one-day International debut was in 1995
against the all time rivals, South Africa. He did his test debut in the same year against Sri Lanka in which he scored 96 runs. He lost his place in the team frequently due to lack of form and discipline before he became the ODI captain in the early 2002 and Test captain in 2004. He is Ausis's top scorer till now and one among the four (Sachin, Dravid, Kallis, Ponting) in the world to score 13000 runs in test.

As I have already told, he can be considered as one of the most successful captain with 44 test wins in 78 matches. As a player, he is the only person to be involved in 100 Test victories and 262 ODI wins. He had also captained 2 consecutive Worl Cup victories of 2003 and 2007 out of Ausis's hat-trick(1999, 2003 & 2007) and was a player in the 1999 world cup under Steve Waugh's captaincy.

Everyone of you does know him..as a cricketer.. But he has another role to play.. A role to save thousands of lives from the evil cancer. Yes.. He with his wife Rianna has set up Ponting Foundation to do everything possible to help young Australians and their families to beat cancer. It provide financial and emotional support to families suffering from the difficulties of cancer.

So.. Let us all wish this great cricketer, or, more than that, a great human being, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY,,

DECEMBER 18-PERSON OF THE DAY-STEVEN SPIELBERG

"The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves."
                                                                                -Spielberg

To be frank.. We were actually in a dilemma..! Whom should we select as the person of the day!!
Brad Pitt, Spielberg or Stalin!! Finally we decided.. Being an admirer of Spielberg movies, we thought he would be the perfect choice. He is undoubtedly the most influential film personality in the world. He is one of the wealthiest film makers of the world. He has been with us for 4 decades and has covered almost all the genres.

He was born on December 18,1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to an orthodox Jewish family(we could see that in his movie Schindler's List). He grew up by making amateur 8mm films.  In 1963,at the age of 16,he wrote and directed his first independent movie which was a 140 minutes lonf science fiction movie named Firelight. Later he made several super hit movies which was loved by both young and old.

I do not think it would be a good idea to list out his complete work.. I would provide the link below.. But,I do mention my favourite among them like Schindler's List, Jurassic Park series, War of the World, and many more..

DECEMBER 17 - PERSON OF THE DAY - POPE FRANCIS

" A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just."

Can any ruler can live as a common man..? Whether such a man would dare to use public transport and walk miles to reach his destination..? Whether he would use torn cloths and mingle with people around him, being one among them..? Yes, very few like Pope Francis would.
Can you imagine a Pope very active in all social medias- a pope who uses Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.. Undoubtedly I say he has redefined the image of a 'Pope'- being common in common.
Yes his live is indeed message for all.
I am very privileged to wish Pope "HAPPY BIRTHDAY".

I would brief him for those who don't know him well.... The Pope Francis or Jorge Mario Bergoglio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His ordination as a priest was in 1969 and became Argentina's provincial superior of the Society of Jesus. He became the Archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998 and was created a Cardinal in 2001 by Pope John Paul II. And now the reigning Pope of Catholic Church and the absolute sovereign of the Vatican City State...

I would also share one event that inspired me a lot. Being the sovereign of Rome, he asked his security officer guarding him at the door to sit down and take rest. Though the officer refused the Pope ordered and gave him a cup of coffee which the Pope made himself.

Show Kindness.... Spread Love....

Follow him on Facobook..

Here are some videos that would inspire you..

NIRBHAYA

December 16 is not a kind of date which any Indian would feel proud to remember. It would have been an ordinary date if those bastards had not beaten the life out of an innocent 23 year old girl. Yes.. Exactly 2 years ago, a 23 year old girl named Jyoti Singh Pandey was brutally gang raped in front of his friend who too was severely beaten, on a private bus at 9.30 PM. The incident has ignited protests all around the country and people and govt. started concerning the security of our girls a little more seriously. The incident will be a black mark our history for ever.

The accused were 6 which included a minor. All were arrested and charged for kidnapping and sexual assault. One of them hanged himself to death while the other 4 except the minor was sentenced to death. The minor too was given the  maximum possible punishment of 3 years imprisonment in a reform facility. But the irony is, its said that the minor was the most savage among them.

Well my doubt is that.. If he was matured enough to commit such a brutal crime.. Isnt he grown enough to accept a more sever punishment?? Well... a 3 year imprisonment does not do good to an animal (Am i insulting them??) who has done something really ferocious.

The incident happened on the night of 16th December,2012 when two friends boarded a bus in Munirika, South Delhi. The bus had 5 passengers and a driver namely Ram Singh, Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta, Akshay Takur while the sixth one(the minor) is unknown. The five except the driver taunted them, asking what they were doing at such a late hour. The male friend tried to protest but was beaten gagged and made unconscious by beating him with an iron rod. The girl was then dragged to the back side of the bus and was gang raped by the five while the driver continue driving. Meedical reports say that the girl was severely beaten and a blunt object was inserted in to her vaginal track. An accused later admit that he has seen another assailant in the bus pulling out some rope-like stuff (suspected to be the girls intestine) out of her body(fuck!! I cant believe rascals like this even exist!!)

Both the victims were thrown out of the bus whom were later taken to the hospital by local police. The girl was immediately moved to emergency ventilator. But she couldnt survive from the ferocious injuries gifted by the accused and she died on 28th of the same month.

All of the accused was given appropriate punishments(personally, I dont agree with the juvenile stuff). Protests were held at different parts of the country against the accused.

But,to our disappointment, Nothing has changed. More and more rape victims were born. Our sisters are not safe.

I call a country developed if it's female citizens can walk through a street with out fear even during late nights...

Save our sisters.. Its our duty as their brothers..

Take care..

DECEMBER 16-PERSON OF THE DAY-JANE AUSTEN

"Happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance."

Her works mainly highlights the dependence of women on marriage to secure social standings and economic security. From her works, we could clearly conclude that she was a feminist. Her heroines were special and the novels were mainly from the perspective of the heroine.

Jane Austen, the famous English writer or novelist was born on December 16, 1775. She mainly wrote romantic fiction and had a firm place as one of the most widely read English novelist.  Her realism, biting irony and social commentary as well as her acclaimed plots have gained her historical importance among scholars and critics.

As a child she used to read a lot. Her family's support played an important role in her journey. Her parents, George Austen and Cassandra were members of substantial gentry family. Austen was born on 16 December 1775 at Steventon rectory and publicly christened on 5 April 1776. Though she and her sister were sent for education, both were called back as they had no money to teach them. Jane acquired the remainder of her education through reading books, guided by her father and brothers. She had six brothers. Her family was quite big.

Austen started writing small poems and stories by 1787. She had collected them and had bound into a notebook which is now known as Juvenilia, containing pieces originally written between 1787 and 1793. Its believed that she had written her full length novel by 1790.

Its for damn sure that Jane's works had clearly helped English language in its journey to become what it is now. School curriculum include Jane's novels to make students understand the then prevailing trend, style of writing and language.

Her famous works include..

Novels
Sense and Sensibility (1811)
Pride and Prejudice (1813)
Mansfield Park (1814)
Emma (1815)
Northanger Abbey (1818, posthumous)
Persuasion (1818, posthumous)

Short fiction
Lady Susan (1794, 1805)

She has also got some unfinished works. Works she did during her childhood and teenage were published under two volumes of Juvenilia.

On her birthday.. We wish to pay tribute to this great writer..

HBD Jane...

Take care....

"THE BEST WAY TO DIE- CLINT EASTWOOD SHOOTING WHILE MORGAN FREEMAN NARRATES IT"
                                                                                               -some random guy
Well.. Well.. Here you have both of them.. Freeman narrates it.. But Eastwood is not the 'sharp shooter' as he was in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.. He fight.. Yeah.. He is a veteran boxing trainer..

The leading roles, Frankie Dunn, Maggie Fitzgerald are done by Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank respectively. Morgan Freeman has done the role of Eddie Dupris, Frankie's friend and faithful employee. The story is narrated ny Freeman.. That itself shows how brilliant it would be.. Something told by Freeman can never be bad.. Right??

Million Dollar Baby,2004 is an american sports drama film directed by Clint Eastwood. The film portraits a training gym run by Frankie and his employee Eddie. The gym was not doing good. Added to that his fighter, who was groomed by him to a world class status has payed him back by signing an agreement with another manager. Frankie has devoted his life to the ring and training. It was at that time,a lady Maggie Fitzgerald came to Frankie and asked if he could train him. Frankie was not interested in training women and he didnt accept her request. But, later Frankie had to due to her determination and love.. The rest of the movie deals with the personnel relationship between the trainer and the trainee.

The 4 Academy Award winning movie is thoughtful, unfashionable, honest, simple and shows us that life can really fuck you at times.. "You plan everything.. Everything goes according to your plan and here you have a happy ending" Life doesnt work that way.. It has alwasy gor other plans..and it stick ti its...

The movie had won 4 Oscars;

DECEMBER 14-PERSON OF THE DAY-RAJ KAPOOR

Whom else should we select as the person of the day?? Even google celebrates his birthday by making him the google doodle. Mere words cannot express how much he had given to the Indian Cinema. His works played of the most important role in framing our cinema world.

Ranbir Raj Kapoor, the famous Indian film actor, director and producer was born on December 14 1924 at Peshawar, (modern Pakistan). So basically, he a Pakistani-Indian actor. He was born as the eldest among the 6 children of Prithviraj Kapoor and Ramsarni Devi Kapoor,as a part of the great Kapoor family. His brothers too were actors.

His debut film was Inquilab, 1935. But his break came through the leading role in the movie Neel Kamal, 1947.

Raj Kapoor is appreciated both by film critics and movie fans. Film historians and movie buffs speak of him as the "Charlie Chaplin of Indian cinema," since he often portrayed a tramp-like figure, who, despite adversity, was still cheerful and honest. His fame spread worldwide. He was adored by audiences in large parts of Africa, the Middle East, the former Soviet Union, China, and Southeast Asia; his movies were global commercial successes. Raj had the knack of getting the best out of any one, since he had mastered all departments of film making and even marketing them.[peacock term] When Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru died in 1964 coinciding with release of Sangam, he took the opportunity to create a scene when Gopal ashes were immersed in Ganges, like Pandit Nehru described in his poetic will. His films reflected the Era in which it was made.

He had a great understanding of the public taste and a great sense of Box-Office. He was one of the pioneers of the Indian cinema, who talked about the potential of Hindi cinema emerging as a great revenue earner from the world market in fifties, which has become a reality today.

On this day.. We the crew of Hotdogs.. Wish him a Happy Birthday..

DECEMBER 8 -PERSON OF THE DAY -ELZIE CRISLER SEGAR

"I am what I am,
and that's all that
I am"
                                               -Popeye,the sailor
We often do not realize that the pleasure we enjoy is created by the sweat and hardship of many others. We often fail to respect the person  who deserve it.
Today is the birthday of Elzie Crisler Segar. You may wonder who this is?? But, I say most of you know him virtually.

Elzie Crisler Segar, known professionally as E. C. Segar, was an American cartoonist, best known as the creator of Popeye, a pop culture character who first appeared in 1929 in Segar's comic strip Thimble Theater. Yes.. He is the father of Popeye, one of our favourite cartoon character.. Who does not love his mighty muscular body and the pipe(through with he occasionally take spinach too)..?? He took a correspondence course in cartooning from W. L. Evans of Cleveland, Ohio and was introduce at Chicago Herald. On March 12, 1916 they published his first cartoon, Charlie Chaplin's Comedy Capers.

Evening American Managing editor William Curley thought Segar could succeed in New York, so he sent him to King Features Syndicate, where Segar worked for many years. He began by drawing Thimble Theatre for the New York Journal. The strip made its debut on December 19, 1919, featuring the characters Olive Oyl, Castor Oyl and Horace Hamgravy, whose name was quickly shortened in the strip to simply "Ham Gravy". They were the strip's leads for about a decade. On January 17, 1929, when Castor Oyl needed a mariner to navigate his ship to Dice Island, Castor picked up an old salt down by the docks named Popeye. Popeye's first line in the strip, upon being asked if he was a sailor, was "'Ja think I'm a cowboy?" The character stole the show and became the permanent star. Some of the other notable characters Segar created include J. Wellington Wimpy and Eugene the Jeep.

Its strange that the creators are not known sometimes..but the characters live. They are immortal...

Take care..

This would be the last person you thought of being the person of the day. We don't mean to honor him by doing so.. We just thought of sharing and making you guys aware that such a man had walked over the earth and today is his 30th death anniversary.

After all, being notorious or infamous is just another way of becoming famous. Its just 'becoming famous' gone bad, right??

Charles Ray Hatcher,or I don't know which name i should use asa he had used a dozen names in his lifetime, was a serial killer who had confessed almost 16 murders. He was born on july 16,1929 in Mount city,USA. His childhood was a total waste. He was youngest of the 4 children of his parents. His father was an Ex-convict and a alcoholic addict. He left home and divorced his wife.

He had shown signs of mental trauma at a very young age, when he stand still watching his brother dying from an electric shock while they were flying kites. His mother remarried almost 3 times. And he lived with his mum and third father. His criminal life was kick started by auto thefts and he was arrested and jailed several times.. He attempted to escape almost every time, and had succeeded quite a couple or more times.. He was arrested for auto thefts, burglary, and many more..

His carrer in murder started when his first victim, Jerry Tharrington, who was his inmate, was found raped and kill on July 2, 1961. It was almost clear that Charlie did it,but they lack solid evidences and he was sent to solitary confinement. While in solitary confinement he wrote a letter claiming that he needed psychiatric assistants. But he was not (who knows,he would have changed if he was given a chance).

He continue indulging in criminal practices. Most of his murder victims were boys of the age 6-14. All were raped before death (Holy shit.. We have a faggot here!!). He mostly strangle or stab people into death.

When he was arrested for the last time in 1983. He requestedfor a death sentence but he was senteced for a life imprisonment. But,4 days later,he hanged himself to death.

Remember guys.. None is born criminal.. Its the situation that make us do things we should not.. So, stay focused and face everything with utmost courage and determination..

Take care friends...

KISS OF LOVE- A UNIQUE WAY TO PROTEST

"If Princess Charming happened in Kerala, the prince would just stay a frog, because moral police would not let the princess to kiss them"

No matter how free we are.. There are certain 'pointless' social norms in our society. Its strange to see a couple kissing each other in public. But, why does the society bother??? What makes them so frustrated???The one who kiss does not bother.. The one who is being kissed too does not care.. Its the mentality of this fucked-up society that matters...They are the one who create problems..

Against Moral policing.. A group from Kerala organised a unique kind or protest popularly known as the "KISS OF LOVE" on November 2nd,2014 at Marine Drive,Kochi. Various activists, political parties, students organisation, came opposing the protest and the program went chaotic.. What planned was a peaceful march from Eranakulam Law College but the so called 'moral polices' was so crazy that the peaceful march went all wrong..  The state police really did a good job by arresting the kiss of love supported who were actually the victims of the violence...
But, the act had some effect.. It went viral all over the world through social networks and medias and similar protests were held the same day at different parts of the country..
The topic was discussed all over the globe. It received support from a huge number of people.. There were haters too.. Who actually had no point in arguing.. There arguments were core less.

As a continuation of the first attempt to change the attitude of this society, the Kiss of Love coordinators plan to organize the second version of their protest against moral policing on December 7, 2014 at Calicut streets. The event is known as KISS IN THE STREETS and will be held around 3 PM, today. 1000 participants are expected today.

"It will be the same mode of protest", Rahul(the founder of KISS OF LOVE) said. "However, this time, no prior permission is being sought from the police," he added. There are plans to hold similar protests in two or three other places in Kozhikode on Sunday, but the venues have not been decided, he said. Those participating in the protest include a theatre group from Chennai.

"Support kiss of love.... Kiss is a sign of love and not lust.. And spread love cause its all we have in this fucked up world of ours"

Take care friends..

DECEMBER 6- PERSON OF THE DAY- Dr. B.R AMBEDKAR

So far we have chosen the person of the day from celebrities having birthdays on the particular day.. But.. Today.. While I was searching for them.. I found that a more important person (to us,indians) had died today.. So,we thought of sharing it with you..

Dr.B.RAmbedkar aka "Babasaheb" was the principle architect of Indian constitution. He was born on !4th April,1891. He was a prolific student and had completed degrees from various universities like Columbia University and London School of economics. He was one of the finest jurist, economist, and social reformer India has ever scene. He worked hard for the upliftment of Dalits (untouchables). Dalits, during his era suffered very much. They were suppressed by the so called higher class. Ambedkar published journals advocating the rights social freedom for dalits.

"If you ask me, my ideal would be the society based on liberty, equality and fraternity An ideal society should be mobile and full of channels of conveying a change taking in one part ti other parts."

Yeah, He actually did dream for an India with equality, liberty and fraternity... God knows whether it has come true or not..

Anyway, his effort for the well being of the lower caste has shown some effect.. Backward caste people are given more priority in every field and are exempted from many liabilities..

Being an educated lawyer, jurist, and economist.. Dr. B.R Ambedkar played the most important role in the construction of the Indian Constitution..

The very pure intention of this man is really appreciable. Despite the fact that the reservation system for backward classes has become pointless now, it was indeed neede at that time to lift the dalits from the pit they were put by the upper class men.. What he had done was the right thing then..

I have just told what i felt like speaking out today.. To know more about him,.

Take care...
good night..

ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA - THE BOOK OF ANY THING AND EVERYTHING

I can say without any doubts that the ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA is the most popular and the most sold English encyclopedia. Do you know what is special about the Encyclopedia Britannica on December 6 ?  The date is so special because the first Encyclopedia Britannica was published on December 6, 1768.

Now let me tell you some facts about the Britannica. The 2010 edition is the last printed edition of this encyclopedia. Rather than nearly hundred full time writers over 4000 people have contributed which includes 110 Nobel Prize winners and five American presidents. The encyclopedia Britannica is the oldest English encyclopedia still in production. The first encyclopedia was a three volume book later the book expanded and released the fifteenth and last edition as a 32 volume book. The book contains about 40 million words on half a million topics.

The 21 century marked the set back of the Encyclopedia Britannica. The large boom in the development and use of the electronic medias allowed people to get information about anything and everything online rather the using Britannica. But Encyclopedia Britannica will remain in the hearts of  all knowledge seekers.

KEITH MARTIN - THE MIGHTY MAN IS NO MORE

BRIT KEITH MARTIN who weighed 445 kilograms at heaviest died on December 6, 2014 due to pneumonia. He was just 44 when he died. Keit was a citizen of United Kingdom. Eight months ago a gastric sleeve was fitted on him and that removed about three quarters of his stomach.
He consumed almost 20,000 calories each day whereas a normal man would consume only about 2000 calories. His day started with a diet that included six-egg fried breakfast. And the lunch and dinner included pizzas, kebabs, take-outs and Big Macs.
The doctor who treated keith reported that he was suffering from some emotional issues and he turned to food for comfort. Keith told the cameras that he suffered from anxiety since he lost his mother.

I don't think that fat people are greedy. If any of you think that there is a psychological reason for people being repulsed by fat people then i would say that you are wrong. It is only a modern phenomenon that fat people get looked down upon in society. In fact it was only in the early 1920's, in Hollywood when it started to be fashionable to be skinny. Before that people would have admired overweight people, and tried to be so themselves , as it was said to be a sign of wealth.

Love you Keith..
REST IN PEACE

See how Keith looked :
