From Mahatma Gandhi, Adolf Hitler, Elizabeth II and Barack Obama to The Computer, The Whistleblowers, The American Soldier and The Protester, TIME has named a Person of the Year for the past nine decades. The title is bestowed to those who have, for good or for ill, most influenced the news and our lives in the past year.
With just 4 days left for the results, whom do you think is worth enough to become time's person of the year???
People had a chance to cast their votes and express who they think deserves the title through Facebook, twitter or through Time.com. The last day to vote was Dec 6. The peoples choice will be declared on Dec 8 while TIME's Person of The Year will be announced on Dec 10th.
Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has retaken the lead, surpassing the protesters fro Ferguson.
The voting remains close. Modi has 10.8% of votes while the Ferguson protesters have 10.2%. Hong Kong protest leader Joshua Wong, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, and the Ebola doctors and nurses round out the top five.
"The first person of the year (1927) was Charles Linderbergh."
"The last one (2013) was Pope Francis"
Now.. let us wait and see...
take care...
