MAYBACH-THE ULTIMATE WORD FOR LUXURY

                        

The Maybach was a luxury German car manufacturer. The company started operation on 1909 by Wihelm Maybach with his son. The headquarter at Stuttgart Germany. Today this luxury car brand is owned by Dailmer AG. Dailmer announced in the November 2011 that Maybach would cease to be a brand by 2013 and manufactured the last Maybach vehicle in December 2012. In November 2014, Dailmer announced the revival of the Maybach by introducing Ultra-Luxuriuos version of the Mercedes Benz S class as Mercedes Maybach.

The Wihelm Maybach, who resigned from his position of technical director from Daimler in 1909 to start his own company with his son.  Maybach Motorenbav GmbH (Maybach Engine Construction Company) started manufacturing engines for trains and Zeppelins. Company didn't step into the car production until 1921, and from then till 1940, Maybach was responsible for the most luxurious German cars.

When Second World War started, Maybach halted car production and started to engine building. Maybach created and designed large, powerful, disastrous tanks for Nazi at the time. But even after war, Maybach never returned to automotive production, until Daimler accused the company. In 1960 Daimler Benz came and brought Maybach to building cars

But the cars produced doesn't have Maybach tag on it, it is specially intended for the production of the various versions of the Mercedes until 2002. In the year 2002, Maybach returned with the introduction of the Maybach 57 and Maybach 62 hit the market. These Maybach meant for the richest classes and the predecessors of the current Mercedes S classes.

Rolls- Royce and Bentley were the main competitor for the Maybach. Since Maybach brand is famous only in German, it sales are limited and never got buyers. In 2004 it hit recorded sales of just 244 cars while other competitor sales more than 5000 in number. In 2012 Maybach discontinued, because of poor sales and less market shares.

Last year Daimler announced the returning of Maybach super luxury brand in the S class sedan. It will be known as Mercedes Maybach S600. All the properties are uplifted by giving rear passengers also to enjoy the great luxury and comfort. The car model will be priced from $190,000. Bloomber TV and the Bloomberg Business week called it ‘The most exciting car’.
