Have you
heard the story of bird silly bird, which wend much of his life thinking it was
an ugly duckling? The duckling around it
made it feel it was ugly. It could not even say “quack quack “like a normal
duckling and felt miserable. At last one
day, it realized that it was not a duckling at all. It was a swan a graceful,
pure white swan.
I am here to
help you make such a discovery. If you feel like an ugly duckling, well, you
may be a swan in the company of duckling. Find out where you belong, and you
will feel happy. You too will be liked and cherished.
Many
youngsters go through life believing they are not intelligent, just
because they could not secure
distinction or grade A in their studies. In the company of youngsters securing
distinction in studies, they might feel like ugly duckling. But if you are not
good at studies, that does not mean you won’t be able to excel in any other
field. May be you are cut out to be a sports man, a writer, a banker, a
businessman, a politician, a colonel or even a general in the army. If you
excel in any sphere of activity, you can develop self-confidence, to being
with, at least in that activity. Find out what you are good at.
There is none who is worthless. Thus goes a Sanskrit saying:

There is not
a letter in the alphabet, which can not be used for composing a sacred mantra.
There is not a herb, which has no medical value. Similarly, there is no human
being who is incompetent. Only an organizer or a planner is difficult to find.
Today there
are literally hundreds of vocations open to a young man and yet many youngsters
feel totally dejected and turn escapist and violent, just because they cannot
get admission to a course of their choice like engineering or medicine.
Please not that what the exams test is only
the ability of the child to remember the answers to the questions, asked in the
question paper, without the help of books. We learn what we like and from whom
we like. If the child does not develop some affection for the teacher, he may
not be in a position to learn from him, also if the child has not been
motivated to like the subject being taught in the class room, he may not be
able to learn well.
