The Down Trodence aka TDT is a gang of six youngsters who finds the ecstasy in music. This crazy guys put forth a brave idea to start a Metal band in Kerala where people are not familiar with foreign music. We have personnel interest in these guys as we both are from same place, Kerala, a state in South India. The band consists Munz(vocal), Varun Raj(Guitar), Nazer Ahmed(Bass GUitar, Backing Vocals), Sushin Shyam(Keyboards,Backking Vocals), Ganesh Radhakrishnan(Drums) Advaith Moha(Guitar).
Their debut album was "How Are You? We Are Fine, Thank You" which was released on January 1st of 2014. But They got their breakthrough from their hit album "Shiva" which is a remake of a Shiva sthuthi. Their uniqueness lies in their magiucal fusion of Heavy Metal and Indian Folk which we Indians really love.. They include folk art forms, particularly, Theyyam in their music videos. the band also incorporates a lot of traditional folk sounds and instruments in the form of ambient layers in their music. Rhythm structures used in their songs too are primarily inspired by folk music.
Lyrically the band indulge on strong social issues like inequalities, injustice, oppression of lower cast people which has always prevailed in India.
The upcoming band has so far done their job beautifully and let us hope they come up as a leading band all over in the world.
