He would have really meant it when when he said it.. Well.. does it look like exaggeration for you?? I don't think so.. Because,I would say a whole new era of animated movies was ignited by a small mouse with big whit gloves..

Yeah.. All his creations, especially Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck have caught the heart of almost all the people,no matter how old they are,around the globe.

   Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5th of 1901 in the Hermosa section of Chicago,Illinois. This legend, a major contributing cartoonist for the school magazine, drop out from high school where he took classes on drawing and photography and joined the army but was rejected for being under aged. Later he joined Red Cross and moved to France. 

Back from France, he worked as newspaper cartoonist and series like Alice in Cartoonland where published,which were his first ones. But none were commercial hits.

Then comes his and us favorite character Mickey Mouse. The first animated shorts featuring Mickey were Plane crazy and The Gallopn' Gaucho. BOth were silent films. Later when sound made its way to films, Steamboat Willie, a sound and music equipped short was released. With Walt dubbing for Mickey,the short goes viral.

Then comes Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full length animated movie and bagged 3 Oscars.

During his lifetime,he won 4 honorary awards and 22 academy awards from 59 nominations(jaws dropping indeed!!!).

His famous works include,

Alice in Wonderland

Treasure Island

Sleeping Beauty

Peter pan and many more(never exagerates.....literally many more)

So,I feel sorry for not mentioning all of his works here.. He has done a truck load of stuffs as Director, Writer, Producer, etc.. You could visit Wikipedia any time for more details. We,here,provide a mere outline of the great film maker and entrepreneur..

In his whole life, he has never produced a movie without a happy ending.. He always want everybody to be happy.. And he got what he needs.. He never made pictures to make money, he made money so that he could take more pictures..
